the meatshare campaign
goal:
Windy Heights needs to raise $150k before 10 December 2025 so that they can meet their investor's deadline ($130k), and implement a number of climate adaptation measures and expand their herds ($20k). This will get them through the winter and give them enough time for a few upcoming initiatives and partnerships to start paying off.​​​
This is not a Go Fund Me style fundraising effort, or a call for donations (though those are always welcome!). Instead, we are looking for Community Investors, people who can put money in now and get their return with added value in the future, reviving the true nature of the Community Supported Agriculture or CSA movement.
steps:
1. Click the "order" button on the Contact + Orders page (accessed via the top menu bar or the red order form button below) and select the type of meat you want and the level of investment. Your options will be:

2. Etransfer the committed funds to NLMeatShare@gmail.com​. Note that the name on the account is Fusion Holdings Ltd., which is the legal incorporation name for Windy Heights. The funds will be held in a separate account that will not be touched until we have reached the $130k threshold.

3. If we meet our threshold, we will first hold a party with all of our Community Investors invited! Then we figure out together what the repayment schedule will look like, whether that be paying out a full share worth of meat all at once, portioning out smaller amounts monthly until the whole is repaid, or exploring other ideas proposed by the community. If we do not receive $130k by December 10, or whenever the loan repayment is due (ie. if we are given an extension), we repay everyone's money.

4. In exchange for providing your money upfront, you will be rewarded with more meat than you paid for. If you purchase a $500 share, you will be repaid with $600 worth of meat. If you purchase a $1000 share, your reward is $1200 worth of meat. Remember that these are "futures" - you will not actually receive any meat until 1 or 2 years down the road. In the meantime, there are other ways you can support Windy Heights, like purchasing products directly (from the orders page), connecting them with other investors or potential partners, or providing them an unencumbered donation!

Note: To keep it simple during our testing phase, we only have the option of beef (cow), pork (pig), goat, or a farmer's mix (including all 3 types of meat) shares. If you are vegetarian, you might opt to buy a mushroom subscription instead, or join the veggie CSA program that will start next spring.​​
